The Department follows the norms set out for all Government of India offices by the Department of Personnel & Training/Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. DPE has also issued Group A & B Recruitment Rules, 2001 (amended in 2014), and DPE (Multi Tasking Staff) Recruitment Rules, 2014.

The following Boards, Committees have been constituted in DPE.

  1. Search Committee for selection of non-official Directors.

    DPE has constituted a Search Committee for selection of non-official Directors on the Boards of CPSEs. The recommendations of Search Committee are confidential till such time decision of competent authority on the recommendations of Search Committee is available.

  2. Task Force on MoU: - The minutes are available to public as per provisions of RTI Act.
  3. Internal Complaints Committee on Sexual Harassment.

The meetings of these committees /Task force are not open to public.

Scheme of Counselling, Retraining and Redeployment (CRR) is not a subsidy programme. However, under this scheme, training is imparted to separated employee of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). CRR Scheme is under implementation by Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) from the year 2001-02. The objective and scope of the CRR scheme is to provide opportunities of Counselling, retaining and redeployment to the separated employees who are rendered surplus as a result of modernization, technology up gradation and manpower restructuring in the CPSEs. CRR Scheme is implemented by selected nodal agencies who impart training to VRS optees at Employees Assistance Centres (EACs).
